KPN is a leading telecommunications and IT provider and market leader in the Netherlands. KPN focuses on both private customers and business users, from small to large. In addition, our business market division, KPN Security, provides a broad cyber & identity portfolio. KPN has a long track record implementing and maintaining PKI environments for both KPN and other large eco-systems (e.g. Health, Public, Finance and Industry). In 2003 KPN is the first to be admitted to the PKI-Overheid scheme (the Dutch governmental PKI infrastructure).

KPN wants to continue providing future-ready and secure PKI systems to its customers. Without a post-quantum safe PKI infrastructure, all current applications would become superfluous and/or open for attack. Supporting this project fits our strategy to secure data, networks and systems.
Within the project, KPN will join various research activities by providing insight on requirements and envisioned complexity of a quantum-safe PKI and will play an active role in the dissemination of results and engagement of other PKI-users. Additionally, KPN provides access to its Security Labs for implementing and testing the quantum-safe PKI in a realistic setting. The knowledge we will gain will be used to create/update our PKI services.
