The quantum computer represents a powerful promise, but also possess a threat on our digital safety. It is expected that traditional encryption can be broken within the next ten to fifteen years. We need to address this challenge, especially regarding Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). This because PKI is at the core of our trust of governmental services. But also other sectors like banking and telecom are vulnerable.
